Southern California Railway Museum
In nearby Perris, you’ll find the Southern California Railway Museum. This site includes a working railroad. There’s a barbeque, a photoshoot, a truck show, and much more during the year, so if you want to learn about local railroad history and ride a train, this is a fantastic place to visit. The museum holds special events for kids, including weekend train rides and a merit badge program. During the year, there’s a barbeque, a photoshoot, a truck show, and much more. A program even teaches you how to operate a diesel locomotive or electric trolley.
Perris Valley Historical Museum
Visitors to Downtown Perris can visit the Perris Valley Historical Museum inside the historic Santa Fe Depot. This train station was built in 1892 and is one of the few surviving depots of architectural or historical importance in the US. The exhibits focus on the early history of Perris, including the culture and artifacts of the Luiseño Indians, the mining history in the area, and the old Good Hope gold mine. One can learn about farming in the region and the settlers who, in the 1880s, planted grain crops, then switched to white rose potatoes in the 1940s.

Motte Historical Park
The Motte Historical Museum is the perfect place for any car enthusiast. With over 25 vintage cars from the 1910s to the 1960s, visitors can learn the history behind each car and the story of the collection itself. Are you looking for a unique space to hold a family or work event? The museum's barn section is available for rent. It is open Wednesday through Sunday from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., and admission is free!
